In an earlier update we made the sampling methods in DOHSBase Online more precise: you saw the relevant methods per specific limit value of a substance. That is more accurate, because a method’s suitability depends on the limit value you assess against.
In practice this change proved too restrictive. Two groups of users lost track of the methods: those who did not notice that you first had to click a limit value, and those who were looking for the substance-wide overview, namely which methods exist for this substance, independent of a specific limit value.
The Sampling methods tab has therefore been restored in full. You can now find sampling methods in two ways again:
- Through the Sampling methods tab — all distinct methods for a substance in one overview, filterable by medium and analysis type, each with a reference to the limit values that use it.
- Through a specific limit value — open the limit-value data, click a limit value and review the methods tied to that limit. More precise for a compliance assessment.
