DOHSBase for Belgium
The Belgian Codex limit values, the CMR scope of book VI and a separate BE profile — in the same database as the Dutch and European values
In brief: DOHSBase includes the Belgian limit values from the Codex on well-being at work (book VI), the associated CMR classification of title 2, and a separate BE profile that tunes the source order to Belgium. The Belgian data is visible from all European profiles — including the Dutch one — so nothing needs to be requested. For anyone working on both sides of the border, DOHSBase brings the Belgian and Dutch values together per substance on one screen.
After the Netherlands, Belgium is the largest user group of DOHSBase, and occupational hygiene practice in the Benelux is highly cross-border. That is why DOHSBase carries the Belgian sources alongside the Dutch and European ones.
What DOHSBase includes for Belgium
- The Belgian limit values from annex VI.1-1 to book VI, title 1 of the Codex on well-being at work (FPS Employment), with the eight-hour limit value, the short-term value and the additional classification (A, D, F, M, VI.2).
- The CMR scope of title 2 — including the distinction between VI.2 (harmonised classification) and VI.2 (N) (notified classification), which makes the Belgian CMR regime in practice broader than a list that follows only the harmonised CLP classification.
- A BE profile that tunes the source order to Belgium: Belgium → Europe → immediate neighbours → the rest of Europe. Because Belgium does not derive health-based limit values itself, the health-based chain starts at European level. We switch the BE profile over on request through support in the portal.
