      <description>&lt;p&gt;On the hazard classification tab we show a substance&amp;rsquo;s &lt;strong&gt;CMR classification&lt;/strong&gt;: carcinogenic (C), mutagenic (M) and reprotoxic (R). This now reflects DOHSBase&amp;rsquo;s &lt;strong&gt;complete determination across every source&lt;/strong&gt;, instead of leaning on a single list.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;This page describes a change to the product.       <description>&lt;p&gt;Until now, under &lt;strong&gt;Additional information&lt;/strong&gt; we linked to the home pages of external sources such as GESTIS and ECHA. You arrived at the source, but still had to look up the substance yourself.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;From now on, where available, we show &lt;strong&gt;direct links to the right page for that specific substance&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;ul&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;the substance&amp;rsquo;s &lt;strong&gt;GESTIS substance card&lt;/strong&gt;;&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;the substance&amp;rsquo;s &lt;strong&gt;ECHA REACH registration dossier&lt;/strong&gt;;&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;the &lt;strong&gt;CLP Annex VI index number&lt;/strong&gt;, shown as an identifier when there is no direct page for it.&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;/ul&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;You will find these links on the hazard classification tab, in the &lt;strong&gt;Additional information&lt;/strong&gt; block. The general link to eChemPortal remains available. If a substance has no direct links (yet), we show the general links to the source websites as before.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>The Sampling methods tab is back, alongside methods per limit value</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;In an earlier update we made the sampling methods in DOHSBase Online more precise: you saw the relevant methods per specific limit value of a substance. That is more accurate, because a method&amp;rsquo;s suitability depends on the limit value you assess against.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;In practice this change proved too restrictive. Two groups of users lost track of the methods: those who did not notice that you first had to click a limit value, and those who were looking for the substance-wide overview, namely &lt;em&gt;which methods exist for this substance&lt;/em&gt;, independent of a specific limit value.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>‘Show all OELVs’ can now remember your preference</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;In a substance&amp;rsquo;s limit-value list, the &lt;strong&gt;Show all OELVs&lt;/strong&gt; toggle reveals the full set of exposure limit values, including the entries that are hidden by default.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;That toggle now stays on &lt;strong&gt;for the current session only&lt;/strong&gt; by default. If you flip it once to take a look, your next visit starts in the default view again, so you are never unknowingly stuck in the expanded view.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Prefer to always work with every limit value in view? Tick the new &lt;strong&gt;Remember&lt;/strong&gt; checkbox next to the toggle. The preference is then stored on that device and applies on your next visit too. Turning the toggle back off clears the stored preference automatically.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>UVCB substances are now clearly flagged</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Some substances are &lt;strong&gt;UVCBs&lt;/strong&gt;: substances of Unknown or Variable composition, Complex reaction products or Biological materials. Examples include paraffin wax and petroleum fractions. For such substances, a molecular formula, molecular weight, melting and boiling point, and vapour pressure do not describe a discrete molecule but a range of compositions. The numbers are therefore approximate.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;DOHSBase Online now makes this explicit:&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;ul&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;A neutral &lt;strong&gt;UVCB&lt;/strong&gt; chip appears next to the substance name, with a tooltip explaining what it means.&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;On the physical and chemical properties tab, molecular weight, melting point, boiling point and vapour pressure carry a &lt;strong&gt;~&lt;/strong&gt; sign, with an explanatory note above the panel.&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;In &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.dohsbase.nl/en/knowledge-base/dohsbase-compare-methodology/&#34;&gt;DOHSBase Compare&lt;/a&gt;, Cmax, TIX and RAS for a UVCB are shown in italics with a &lt;strong&gt;~&lt;/strong&gt;. The limit value (OEL) is deliberately &lt;em&gt;not&lt;/em&gt; marked as approximate: limit values are regulatory and do not depend on molecular composition.&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;/ul&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;UVCB is a normal regulatory category, not a warning. The cue is therefore neutral (a grey chip, a ~ sign) and is only meant to make clear what the displayed numbers mean.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
