DOHSBase provides up to date information on properties, occupational limit values and samling/measurement methods on up to 172.000 chemicals. The Compare mode helps ranking workplace exposure risk of chemical substances as such or in preparations/mixtures

Welcome on the internet site of DOHSBase. It provides you information on the program, the Compare mode, the kick-off limit values, the new OEL setting and REACH.

DOHSBase is a comprehensive database of international occupational exposure limits (OEL) and sampling methods. The program is unique and time saving for everyone involved in the control of occupational loads (chemical, biological, physical).

The program contains serveral thousands "kick-off" limits for chemical substances without a health based or administrative occupational limit value.

The Compare mode can estimate and compare the hazard (TOX), the ability to become air born (TIX) and the risk potency (RAS=TIX*TOX) of 30 substances at one time, with a vapor pressure.

This feature is extremely useful in working coditions control and the REACH exposure scenarios of e.g. paints, lubricants etc. within REACh. See the DOHSBase newletter of april2005 (.pdf) or the article in the NVvA nieuwsbrief (in Dutch).
